A Home :: A birthday gift for my mama

Date of Birth > 23 August 2007

Materials > Soft pastel, cotton sticks, brush and fixative spray.

Spent Time > 2 days.

Description > I named it as " A Home". The two larger sunflowers ( Helianthus ) are represent father and mother in a family. The five little sunflowers are their children. When all family members are together, no matter where we are, there is our homeland. Home is a place full with warmness, smile, happiness and hopes. That is also what be implied by Helianthus, the flower with sun ( sunshine ).

Extension > "To be an artist is a commitment to a never-ending search for a personal and unique vision of the world." This painting is specially for my mama as her birthday gift. Happy birthday to you.

This art showed a lot of improvement in skill and process of creating an full art piece. From researching, trying, sketching, painting and polishing. You spent a lot of time on it. (I knew because i am with you all the time :P)

You got your style, Keep it up and earn some money. Then we Bao Bao has free trip.

At 1st I dunno what is your painting representing, so I don't really feel anything. But now I know that the painting's name is "home", and I look at it again, the 1st thing comes out from my mind is : Good. I think it will be even better if you make the sunflower more shiny, more colourful =) keep it up, add oil.
